Circularity meets Green Chemistry

Regenerative Waste Labs was invited by Beyond Benign to present industry case studies of green chemistry in the Green Chemistry in Canada Workshop on Enabling Greener Chemistry in Academia and Industry at the CSC 2023 in Vancouver.

We were excited to highlight the overlap between circular economy principles and green chemistry and we showcased some neat examples of how we repurpose waste and regenerate materials at the Waste Labs!

Dr. Love-Ese Chile of the Waste Labs joined a panel of scientists in sharing with students, postdoctoral fellows and peers about how they ended up in career pathways outside of the traditional academia or industry paths. The CSC 2023 Professional Development panel showcased career options “outside the lab” including patent agents, authors, educators and more.

When does it make sense to redesign packaging to be compostable, and when is it better to focus on recyclability and reuse?

Dr. Love-Ese Chile joins leading voices at PepsiCo, Biodegradable Products Institute, Seattle Public Utilities and Traditional Medicinals Inc. in a panel discussion on compostable packaging and where it fits in the circular economy.
